Get your heating system as efficient as you can. To improve efficiency, inspect, clean and maintain your heating system.
Periodic maintenance such as cleaning and replacing filters can save up to 10% of your heating costs. Instead of turning up the heat, dress in layers of clothing to increase comfort level. For example, put on a sweater. A light long-sleeved sweater equals almost 2 degrees in added warmth, while a heavy, long-sleeved sweater adds about 4 degrees. Take advantage of free heat from the sun.

Open curtains and drapes on the sunny side of your home during the day. But be sure to close the curtains and drapes when the sun sets.
To stay warm at night put extra blankets on your bed, and use warmer fabrics such as flannel sheets. Close off any unused rooms, and partially close the heat vents in those rooms. Don’t block heat vents, registers or heating units with furniture or drapes. At night, turn the thermostat down 10 degrees from its normal setting.

I think Community Action Partnership is very good. The staff is very helpful and the supervisors are very good and helpful. The coworkers are good.My duties consist of putting files away, filling out worker compensation forms and emailing them, and doing dental enrollment forms. I also get to run Megan's Law check on our workers too. I sometimes create Excel spreadsheets. The workplace culture is relax atmosphere where you talk to your supervisor about anything. The goal of this organization is to help people in this area- the less fortunate.Filing is easy, learning how to do Worker's compensation is not so easy.
It can be a little bit hard. Running people through Megan's law is in between of the extremes of hard and easy.I learned how to do the following at Community Action Partnerships of Cambria County: how to do Megan's law, how to do worker's compensation, and how to enroll people on to dental insurance. I also learned how to fish out baby lotion out of magazines.
